End The Lies: Real Comedians Expose Fake Clinics w/ Aparna Nancherla, Eliza Skinner + More!

DT_endthelies.jpg

...it's a comedy variety show!

Join NARAL Pro-Choice California and Lady Parts Justice for a comedy show full of lies AND laughter. Fake Clinics are a thing! Yep! We know, it's all very confusing and frustrating. In 2012, California passed the FACT Act to force fake clinics to tell pregnant people the truth. How did the fake clinics respond? They sued California sighting freedom of speech. Yes yes, they want the freedom to lie to people. The case went all the way up to the Supreme Court, which brings us to this show. Help us raise awareness for this cause and help #EndTheLies and #ExposeFakeClinics!

There will be stand-up, there will be "experts", there will be comedians as "experts", there will be fun had by all.

FEATURING:

Eliza Skinner

NARAL Pro-Choice California is the leading grassroots pro-choice advocacy organization in our state, and we believe that every woman should be able to make personal decisions about the full range of reproductive health options. NARAL Pro-Choice California works to protect every woman’s right to access the full range of reproductive health options, including preventing unintended pregnancy, bearing healthy children, and choosing legal abortion.

Lady Parts Justice (LPJ) is the first, not safe for work, rapid response reproductive rights messaging hub that uses comedy, culture and digital media to sound an alarm about the terrifying erosion of access to reproductive rights. Founded in 2012 by Lizz Winstead, co-creator and former head writer of The Daily Show, when she wanted to do more to leverage her experience in the worlds of comedy and broadcasting to help destigmatize abortion, call out misogynistic politicians, and rally voters to fight back against anti-choice legislation on a federal, state and local level.

WRRAP is a non-partisan, non-profit organization helping low-income women gain access to safe, legal abortions and emergency contraceptives. WRRAP provides grants to women through pre-qualified, reputable reproductive health clinics across the U.S.  No woman should be denied an abortion due to her inability to pay.

No money = no access.
