Harry Nilsson's The Point! — Matinee Performance

  • Dynasty Typerwriter 2511 Wilshire Boulevard Los Angeles, CA, 90057 United States (map)

On November 4th, join us for a very special matinee live performance of the cult classic Harry Nilsson album, The Point! Led by musical director Kiefo Nilsson, the show will features music, visuals, and live narration by Ron Lynch.

Harry Nilsson’s album The Point! is a musical fable about a boy named Oblio, the sole round-headed person in a land where everything and everyone must have a (literal) point. It tells a story of his exclusion and exile from his home and of lessons he learns from his journey through The Pointless Forest. The album was adapted to an animated movie by Fred Wolf and has remained a cult classic ever since. The album is to be performed in its entirety including narration. Following that, a set of Nilsson songs will be performed ranging the length of Harry Nilsson’s storied career.

Kiefo Nilsson is a bassist, vocalist and producer based in Los Angeles. He was a member of Glen Campbell’s Farewell Tour in 2012 and has performed with and worked with artists such as Neko Case, Micky Dolenz, Van Dyke Parks, and The Awesöme Orchestra Collective.
