TV Writers and Comedians
- Dynasty Typewriter at the Hayworth 2511 Wilshire Boulevard Los Angeles, CA, 90057 United States (map)
Some of the best comedic minds in the world compete for the ultimate prize: their own show.
This is a 60 minute unscripted competition show where we turn a stand-up comedy bit into a TV show. Like "The Voice" meets "Shark Tank", but everyone’s hilarious and has provocative, super-now, relevant stand-up and stories.
Here’s how it works:
Based on the live show, comedians perform their sets in front of a panel of award-winning TV writers and show runners currently working in television. The TV writers then pitch potential TV shows based on the comedian’s material (pitches are improvised on the spot since the TV writers are seeing the performance for the first time). The winning TV pitch gets a prize: an opportunity to see their pitch come to life in production.
Hosted by Melinda Hill
Page Hurwitz - Co Owner of Push It Productions
Becca Kinskey - VP Long Form Programming at Funny or Die
Albert Howell - Writer for The Tonight Show
