Sweep Dreams! 💕 🧹

Dynasty Darlings,

Welcome to mid-September! Or as we’re calling it, 🍂 Sweptember 🍂: a month that invites you to be SWEPT away. This name originates, obviously, from the title of a tattered bodice-ripper novel we discovered in the secret, hidden Dynasty Bunker ™ when we moved into the space nigh on 8 years ago. When a building is nearly one hundred years old… Surprising History Accumulates (working title of a show we’re pitching to The History Channel or any other existing channel/app-space. We think of it as a kinda Storage Wars meets… boring history show thing. But with these charismatic hosts and those quirky property stewards with thistype of bizarre ephemera… SHA (Surprising History Accumulates) is ANYTHING but dusty! (Interested? BUY OUR SHOW IDEA FOR A MILLION DOLLARS OR FEWER!) Anyway, this aforementioned sexy old romance romp book we found was flarpin’ 🔥HOT🔥 (excerpt at bottom of letter!) and that steamy, throbby energywas what we were hoping to carry into this weird transitional month.

Instead, we’ve been getting even MORE of the, shall we say, intenselypolarizingbrainscorchingdystopianlifefracturing vibes that America has become absolutely no-no-noTORIOUS for. And as a result, the sweeping we’re interested in is less the romantic type and more the… revolutionary type. BUT aNyWhooooo! Comedy shows!!! 🫠🤪

We encourage you to get swept into a beautiful week of programming here at Dynasty! VANessa and JAMie had an offsite sweeping this weekend when they went to a reading at North Figueroa Books on Saturday (first time there! So sweet! They are expanding! Recommend!) The reading was by a dear friend of Van’s (who is now, of course, as life and love makes possible, a dear friend of both) from their new book of essays, Transanything. What was going to be just a lovely evening was made an Important evening by the reminder, through beautifully written words, that human expression, curiosity, evolution, and love are the WHOLE FLARPIN’ THING. 💕 This was EXACTLY what was needed right as The Burning Man glow was starting to fade from one of us and the descent into recent event-inspired rage and heartbreak was making the other one a haggard little crone. Maybe both were crone like? (Editor: Yes! Double crone!)

And now? We’re STILL croning out but with an inspired intensity that’s more rooted in positive self transformation than negative enemy elimination. So yeah, we’re in the sweet crone zone. 🧹 Mount yer brooms and Sweptember yourself into a reality you can peacefully exist in! (And tell us your secret!)
