Ferry your way into Full Moon Groundhog Season on The TMS Dynasty!
Dearest Darlings,
Honk honnnnk! 🛳️💞 All aboard the FEBUFERRY! A short and sweet ride packed with amazing on-board entertainment. (This is all sort of… a metaphor. “On board” just means at our theater, really. And the month’s proper name is February which is a disgustingly spelled word. So we’re just calling it FebuFerry because ‘round here we go the extra kilometer to make things a little dumb and contrived and magical.) Hopefully this message finds you basking in some full moon energy, with Gopher-fueled optimism. America is a deeply flawed country, but Puxsatawney Phil is the icon we deserve. This zaftig rodent, residing in GOBBLER’S KNOB, PA has the most confusing and fucking terrifying moment of his life, once a year. (We realize that “of his life” and “once a year” contradict each other, but what Scientists™ know about gopher memory retention allows us to write this in full flarpin’ confidence. Each year this terror feels IMMENSE. Groundhog Day? More like SCARE the groundhog day. You’re juuuuust peeping your head out of your hole to go find a place to make waste and you’re met by a fucking flash mob of citizens. All because of some prophetic ability he never even claimed to have.)
Anyway! Yesterday and today are also IMBOLC which is a lil’ holiday celebrating the half way point between winter and spring- the earth is beginning to wake up and bounty may be just around the corner. AMEN.
Waiting For Guffman
In addition to the mounting pains and fears of this world, we were all so very saddened by the loss of the incomparable CATHERINE O’HARA. An absolute legend and icon to all of us. One of the most magnetic and committed actors and comics who brought pathos and layers to every single character she portrayed. SCTV, the Christopher Guest movies, Kevin’s mom, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, Schitt’s Creek, The Studio, The Last Of Us, and so much more. We are so grateful for the joy she gave us, and in that spirit we’re doing a screening of WAITING FOR GUFFMAN this Saturday at 10pm.
Other Dynasty-produced shows of note: The political hellscape is getting helscapier (we’ve said versions of this almost every week for YEARS! Wow!) and we hope you’ll join us for benefit to raise money for The Immigrant Rapid Response Fund! Live and livestreamed!
Thursday, February 12th, 7pm

❤️ And on Febuferry 14th, we’re doing a very special Valentine’s screening of When Harry Met Sally, which is honestly the perfect way to spend Valentines’ no matter your relationship status. Enjoy good company, dress up in the time period, watch a hilarious film, eat popcorn. Skip the faux-romance of restaurants who are (from what we’ve heard) notoriously raising their prices and lowering their quality on that day, and come into the loving bosom of a theater who couldn’t serve bad steak if we wanted to. Because it wouldn’t be legal for us to serve steak.
