This Week at Dynasty! TIG NOTARO! D&D AND SHAKESPEARE! HONEY PLUTON & SPIKE EINBINDER! and MORE

Dear Dynasty Darlings,

A new work week is underway, a month is at a midway point, and the souls of Garfields all over this planet are sharing a mournful moan as they pull the covers over their collective heads. MONDAY. (Yes, we believe in theories of infinite timelines and infinite selves, and if you think Garfield is above or below being deeply integrated into these theories, honey, wake UP. Take 9 lives and multiply them across the years of syndicated comics, book collections, inspired merch, TV and FILM projects? Honey this cat IS infinity. Meow.♾️)

Anyway, this day is not about CATS, Mr. RumTumTugger. It’s about BIRDS. We assume we’ve all downloaded the FREE Merlin Bird ID ap by Cornell? If not, and you’re too young and hip and would rather be partying… enjoy thy youth. But if this appeals to you (we bet you’re also having a spike in skin-care interest) run to your phone-machines, download this, and sit outside or by a window as a WINGED WORLD REVEALS ITSELF. This morning’s close encounters  with a Yellow-rumped Warbler and a Song Sparrow really took the edge off at VAN’s place and a tussle between a Hawk and a Mourning Dove (with a Common Raven hovering for scraps) broke open an otherwise hohum morning over at JAM's. BIRDS!  🐦✨

Speaking of edges, the edges of life are pretty freaking JAGGED right now aren’t they? Yowch. Well, here at Dynasty we’d love to smooth them for you. Often this smoothing is done via our offerings of amazing entertainment brought to you by bright shiny brilliant human beings who can remind us of the beauty and play of humanity. We offer those experiences like, EVERY NIGHT! We also want to offer you a smoothin’ by reminding you that you are a beautiful, capable critter on a planet capable of inspiring awe in ways large and mundane. (Don’t normalize BIRDS. Birds are creatures that fly (sorry penguins, we’re excluding you for a moment. You are so cool too!) and build their own little nests and SING SONGS to communicate. That is a REAL thing always happening in this world! That might as well be dragons, you know? (Is this tracking?) And KoKo the gorilla learned sign language, which is beautiful and CRAZY and probably ethically ambiguous but also… awe inspiring. And embarrassing that we don’t learn their languages, but expect them to learn ours, but anyway. The point is… things are as shitty or marvelous as we give them breadth to be. And it’s very important to be standing out and pointing out all the shitty things that are happening (namely, tyranny? And the many acts of war and dehumanization happening within that tyrannical metric?) but it’s also maybe important to sit and remember BIRDS etc. 🐦✨

Another thing:
Do you have an etiquette, manners, or LIFE problem that needs advice? Write us a note with your specific issues and we'll do our best to address it in one form or another.  Because since we opened Dynasty Typewriter 8 years ago (gasp!) we've learned literally everything there is to know about literally everything. And we want to impart our infinite wisdom to others. So that'sexciting! 😃

Deflate the Manosphere,

VanJam

PS - BIRDS!  🐦✨
