🍎🏔️🍏

Darlings,

They say that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. 🍎🌳 But "they" never came across an apple tree perched at the apex of a mountain so high that when the apples fall, they undoubtedly tumble for miles into the valley below, creating orchards so grand that the village folk all hail the tree as omnipotent. Yes, if "they" saw this apple tree and the vast ecosystem and economy of love and nourishment it created, one based on the very premise that the apple does in fact fall far from the tree, well, "they" would likely be sitting on a wooden bench in the village bakery, wiping the crumbs of the most delicious apple pie 🥧 from their face with a napkin, staring up at the tree up in the distance and muttering "touché, my sweet sacred friend, touché," then heading back to their own village to redact previous assertions they'd made about apples and the distance to which they land when they fall from their trees to their community.

Hi, I'm Ralgon Scorcher, amateur horticulturalist, a-MATURE student of life, and an aspiring professional in many arenas. In my life I have been both the apple and the tree. And the apple, decomposing. And, the revealed seed, finding purchase. You too, likely, have been as many forms of APPLE as there may be. All to say, It has been an honor to be given the opportunity to share this tale in the body of the socially revered and critically hailed Dynasty Typewriter newsletter; a tale about the value of humility. And apples. And mountains. And if you could see the wooden bench and napkins in the bakery where native villagers and travelers sit to eat pie and admire the tree, well then surely you'd know this is also a tale about well crafted wooden benches and crisp, lustrous napkins

Anyways, I am simply obsessed with what they are doing at Dynasty Typewriter, as far as the shows and livestreams and events, and I am convinced that my tales are the perfect fit for the intelligent, big hearted, critical thinkers that make up the base of their audience. That's you! If this story resonated or you have any ideas for it, please let me know! I paid a lot of money to get this work-in-progress in here and I'd love any feedback as well. I am developing it as a one person show called "The Fall of The Apple" where I will play the tree, the pie, the pie shop owner, and a rakish raven🐦‍⬛ that flies between the tree and the village, giving a more holistic "eagle eye" view of the story. I wish I'd had more time to introduce the raven here as she is also a bit of a comic relief in an otherwise dark and intentionally hard to digest production. Maybe next week, if VanJam will have me back. :) Oh, and worth noting that the story takes place in Autumn, which gives "The Fall of the Apple" a little more of an angle. Because Autumn=Fall. 🍂

Have a great week and per my contract I encourage you to go to Dynasty Typewriter to see their wonderful programming this week. Mention my name for one free sticker. ;)

Mention my name often, just to keep us tethered energetically.

May I be your tree, sweet apple? ,

Ralgon
