On Feb 23rd, our friend’s The Lucas Bros presented a brand new hour of comedy, exploring topics such as Will Smith, William James, religion, politics and many more. Through their comedic examination, the Bros helped restore their faith in believing because nihilism is too expensive. The show also included performances by special guests: Sasheer Zamata, Byron Bowers Quinta Brunson, Brandon Wardell, Heather Pasternak, Mookie Thompson, Blake Webber, and Steph Tolev.

Photo Recap: Dynasty Typewriter at Politicon

We were approached by Politicon about injecting a little (more) comedy into their two day convention by becoming their official comedy partners. Us? Political? We knew immediately what our platform would be. Something near and dear to our hearts. Something divisive, provocative, and very very now. DYNAPOP. The World’s ONLY Non-partisan Popcorn. We gathered a team of comedians, some of our staff, some NECESSARY elements for the booth (prize wheel, popcorn mascot suits, fake trees) and got the LA Convention Center poppin’. It was the first use of our DynaPop mascot, Poppy D, and he did NOT disappoint. Thanks to all of the performers who lent their talent to this event: The Lucas Brothers, The OC’s Skye and Nancy Collins (Carrie Clifford & Marc Evan Jackson), Drennon Davis, Lizzy Cooperman, Tad Rams, Chris Fairbanks, and Nate Craig. Plus, all of our amazing Dynasty Staffers and the Politicon crew.

Mini Rat Bone Terrarium

Finally a miniature ossuary you can feel GOOD about. These rat, mouse (and potentially shrew, vole, and mole) bones were ethically mined from owl pellets by two children who genuinely love to pick through owl pellets as a HOBBY, which means it is not child labor. They were assembled in house at Dynasty by adult humans, fueled by a neurodiverse hyperfocus that strikes at random. The perfect gift for the person who doesn’t have it.

These are very mini (less than 1” high!) and are picked and packed at random. Bones and moss colors will vary.
