We couldn’t have asked for a more lovely welcome back than Maria Bamford’s brilliance.
Last night was ✨ MAGIC ✨. We couldn’t have asked for a more lovely welcome back than @mariabamfordcomedy’s brilliance. Corn was popped! People were kind and grateful! We got to be TOGETHER. LIFE WAS SURREAL. Everyone got a Record of Re-Entry, we cried, and we recited an incantation... because Dynasty’s gone corporate honnnney. Thank you 📸: @troyconrads 🔥

Photo Recap: Dynastyland NYE 2020
A very special evening where we opened up the entire theatre for a multi-room immersive party + entertainment experience to celebrate 2020.
What is Dynastyland? If you’ve been to Dynasty for a show, you’ve had the opportunity to enjoy great talent, our award-winning DynaPop, and some jazzy tunes in the lobby. But sometimes when we’re feeling saucy, we open the entire theater so that you can experience ALL our enchanting and hidden nooks. Our green room turns into the cutest show room you ever did see, our barkeep starts slingin’ the sauce, our stage transforms into a thrumming Dyscotheque, characters roam, magicians magic, treats and surprises abound, and, welp, there’s Dyngo and delights for dang near every type of personality! Bring your friends, bring a date, come solo and meet others, or come solo and STAY solo (have a love affair with YOU, honey!) Dynastyland is for everyone!

Photo Recap: Go Day! w/Fred Armisen
Photos from the November edition of Go Day featuring Fred Armisen.
On Nov 2nd it was Jamie’s birthday AND our best GoDay! yet! (We’ve decided GoDay! has an exclamation point in her name for #branding and #marketing purposes, but when used within a sentence it provides issues for #grammar purposes. Such is life! We’ll attend more #marketingseminars and figure this whole thing out in our #sparetime.) So, back to GoDay!: Double Scorpio Edition. We had the extreme pleasure of having FRED ARMISEN on the lineup and he exceeded our (unfairly high) expectations. We had a great interview about his creative process, and then he treated us to an anti-meditation on guitar and a bit of HAYDN on the piano. Atsuko got the whole crowd dancing and Jamie and Vanessa were discovered by scouts for America’s Next Sexiest Dancers but we turned them down because we got a flarkin' theater to run. Laura House reminded us that just by reconnecting with our breath we can go on a little vacation right inside our own body at any time. Barry and Jason turned audience suggestions into games and reminded us how much joy quickly committing to an idea and diving in brings. And of course there were cakes covered in scorpions. We’d tell you more, but honestly, you had to be there and also why weren’t you there? GoDay! is the best and it’s also free! Reserve your seats now for Dec 7th! To further stoke the flames of your GOMO™ (guarantee of missing out) take a look at Troy Conrad’s beautiful photos from the event.
Photo Recap: Dynastyland Halloween
Photos from the 2019 Halloween Edition of Dynastyland.
Our first annual DynastyLand Halloween party was one for the BOOKS folks! Truly the most epic and wonderful and wild night the theater’s seen, and she’s seen some nights honey! The stage turned into a dance floor (and the dance floor was a show in itself), the greenroom had intimate shows going all night, free (AMAZING) VanLeeuwen ice cream flowed, tarot cards were read, a costume contest was had (all hail the fly!) and the saw kept sawin’. At midnight, Jamie and Vanessa reached peak happiness/surrealness (let’s pretend that’s a word) as they sat on stage, in the middle of a circle of bones with candles lit and held a seance for a packed house. The ghosts let it be known that they won’t be leaving the theater anytime soon… because they love it so dang much. Then they led a conga line! Awww, ghosties, we love ya, ya flarpin’ haunts

Nothing says “Dynasty Darling” quite like this tee that literally says those words. It’s a Raglan 3/4 sleeve beauty, appropriate for work, play, personal burial style, and more. Pair it with a cocktail for the perfect cocktail attire. Pair it with a teflon umbrella to break through glass ceilings! Pair it with boots to kick the shit! Pair it with a buddy to be a coupla darlings. Designed and printed in LA with you in mind, Darling.
Finally a miniature ossuary you can feel GOOD about. These rat, mouse (and potentially shrew, vole, and mole) bones were ethically mined from owl pellets by two children who genuinely love to pick through owl pellets as a HOBBY, which means it is not child labor. They were assembled in house at Dynasty by adult humans, fueled by a neurodiverse hyperfocus that strikes at random. The perfect gift for the person who doesn’t have it.
These are very mini (less than 1” high!) and are picked and packed at random. Bones and moss colors will vary.
Say hello to our Shoppe’s most POLARIZING item yet. These are magnets, and they do that “classic magnet thang” of marrying funk and function. Mini masterpieces that will cling to your fridge the way your parents’ clung to their career hopes for you. A magnet strong enough to hold up a historic document, open-minded enough to display a child’s sweet but crude art, and optimistic enough to pin a workout plan you know you won’t commit to. These magnets are so good you don’t even NEED to give them anything to exhibit. They are the show. Plus they’ll watch you come to the fridge over and over and won’t say a damn thing, unlike your judgemental (housemate, wife, husband, partner, Vrbo Regulars etc…)
Magnet size is 3"
Magnet strength is strong enough
DYNASTY DARLING!™
“Batting 1.000” Tee
Some venues have ushers.
Some venues have security.
Some venues don’t identify as venues, because they understand they are more aptly categorized as transformative portals. Then they make a shirt with bats on it and tether it to a baseball metaphor that absolutely refuses to make sense.
This shirt honors all the batshit critters that make this portal possible.
Featuring a full back print of the official Dynasty Darling!™ bat squad in their natural habitat:
scanning tickets
distributing snacks
running tech
making magic
simply being darling
Front chest hit reads:
DYNASTY DARLING!
Back print reads:
“With Darlings Like These… Dynasty Is Batting 1.000!”
A shirt for staff, sweethearts, regulars, emotional support audience members, and anyone who has ever thought:
“Wow… these little freaks really care.”
Printed on a black tee
Soft yet strong enough to hold your torso gently
