It's a new week! And yeah, sure, ⛅️ June Gloom ⛅️ is livin' up to its name here in LA (in a myriad of ways), but guess what?! There's a full moon 🌕 in Sagittarius coming this Wednesday which is... a PORTAL! 🚪✨ As you might imagine, over here at Dynasty we ❤️ ourselves a flarpin' PORTAL 🚪✨! And this isn't just any PORTAL 🚪✨, this is a special PORTAL 🚪✨ that allows anyone who enters to see past internal blocks that have previously held them back, giving a peak into the enchantment that surrounds us in our every day life! Stuff that's always there but we may be missing out on because distraction! This full moon 🌕 is ruled by Jupiter (that's that one HUUUGE planet that still doesn't have an emoji??) and therefore represents spiritual expansion and exciting new adventures! Plus: It's a STRAWBERRY MOON! 🌕 🍓 Like the fruit! How adorable is that?! SO ADORABLE. In fact, let's go ahead and call this 🍓🚪✨THE STRAWBERRY PORTAL. Presented by Dynasty. And we’re hoping another portal opens to sweep away the National Guard. :) Cuz guess what!? WE FLARPIN’ LOVE LOS ANGELES. 👊 🌴 But if you INSIST on sending huge federal presence/spending tax dollars, we have MANY issues we could point you to! Including mandatory driving etiquette classes for the city, non emergency lines that actually work, and helping to feed, house, and care for the many people who have been heartlessly abandoned by every system. :) Anywhooo, STRAWBERRY PORTALS for our real friends, and portals to the underworld for the goblins! ❤️
So, this might be a lot for some of you who just opened this newsletter to see if Marc Maron was coming back soon, but if you can release any cynicism that may be holding you back... embrace all of this star and planet stuff! Maybe even do a little ceremony! We (VanJam) have been leaning into ceremony for a while now, and whether you like astrology or not, it does provide lots of opportunities to throw some herbs in a bowl and light some candles, and get us out of our heads and off our phones for a few minutes to play and feel gratitude and open ourselves up to infinite possibility. NBD. So that's kind of neat! Still not convinced? I don't know... maybe just go eat some strawberries! Strawberries are delicious! And they are PLANTS that grew out of our PLANET!!!! In the words of Marc Maron… WTF. See, we got a little something in these newsies for everyone. :) 🍓🍓🍓
This past Saturday we hosted a particularly fun *SOLD OUT* Dynasty Tonight! With the help of our house band 🎶 The Dynasties 🎶 and our fun line-up (Chris Fleming! Fred Armisen! Sabrina Wu! Chris Fairbanks!) we used ImAgInAtiOn to turn the showroom into a desert trail at sunset 🏜️ and the stage became a magical wagon and the audience all got to choose their own trail names and we lasso'd their manifestations to the sky and if they all come true, well... there's 'gon be some "Dynasty style" political upheaval. With a smile and a high kick! 💋 YEEEEEEHAW!!
Plus we got to celebrate 55 years of Vikki and Frank Flam 💐💍, whose love and support and sperm and birth canal made the Dynasty dream possible! But yeah, we're really embracing play in ways we haven't in a bit, and with so much uncertainty surrounding us it's truly a gift to have this beautiful venue filled with so many great humans (performers! staff! audience! select vendors and maintenance workers!) and we're so thankful for your ongoing support for all the things that happen here. Another huge week ahead, including another Dynasty Tonight! this Saturday with another incredible line-up! Maybe we'll make it a magical wagon night again! Or maybe we'll go deep sea diving! Or maybe we'll do some outer space shit! You'll have to come to find out! And THAT'S The Dynasty Difference!™

Now, four decades later, some of the BIGGEST NAMES IN COMEDY will come together — back together, in a few cases — to perform a 60-minute reading of a self-contained story arc.
After journeying to the GREAT WALL OF CHINA, surviving the DEADLY RUSSIAN CIRCUS, and tracking down a PRISM-OBSESSED SERIAL KILLER, the show THE DAILY BEAST called an “UNHINGED, HILARIOUS HIT” is tackling the soap opera trope to end all soap opera tropes: A WEDDING!
