TONIGHT! MONDAY, 7:30PM: Zilot & Other Important Rhymes Book Release

About the Book:
Emmy Award-winning and New York Times bestselling writer, comedian, and actor BOB ODENKIRK and his daughter, illustrator ERIN ODENKIRK, present poetic nonsense for all ages perfect for fans of Shel Silverstein and Jack Prelutsky!

Bob Odenkirk began writing these poems with his children when they were little, compiling the poetry into a homemade book entitled Olde Time Rhymes. He wanted Nate and Erin to understand that actual people had written the books the family loved to read and to instill in them the feeling that they could be writers and illustrators themselves. Almost twenty years later, when the Odenkirks found themselves quarantined under the same roof, they revisited these mostly silly, sometimes poignant works. It wasn't until Erin began to create illustrations to accompany the words, though, that the book grew to be something much bigger than an Odenkirk family treasure.

About the Authors:
Bob Odenkirk is known for acting (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, the new AMC series Lucky Hank, and feature films like Greta Gerwig’s Little Women) and for writing lots of comedy sketches for TV shows (Saturday Night Live and Mr. Show with Bob and David). In fact, he’s been writing silly stuff his whole life because he sees the world as a mostly funny, pretty ridiculous place. Bob’s other books include A Load of Hooey, a collection of comedic essays, and Comedy Comedy Comedy Drama, his instant New York Times bestselling memoir, but Zilot & Other Important Rhymes is the thing he's most proud of in this world. His greatest wish is that you laugh today and he'd very much like to help make that happen.
Erin Odenkirk has been creating art as long as she can remember, having first found inspiration in drawing real and made-up animals. Now a graduate of Pratt Institute, she lives in Brooklyn, New York with a lot of pencils and one bunny. Erin hopes Zilot & Other Important Rhymes makes you chuckle, maybe even chortle, but mostly she hopes it inspires you to go make something “important.”

🧘‍♂️ 🧴 THURSDAY, 7:30PM: Self Help Me With JENNY YANG : A Competitive Self Care Comedy Show! We love this show! JENNY YANG is the host with the absolute most and every show features comedians, celebrities and wellness experts ready to test their knowledge of the latest wellness trends and reveal their own self-care obsessions. It’s like if Lovett or Leave It and @ midnight made a baby that was obsessed with wellness and lymph node massages–but also cared about the cultures and origins of these splashy trends.

Self-care already felt competitive. We just made our anxieties into a show.

MONDAY, 7:30PM: Tales From The Crypt Theater Of Mystery
Vintage spooky comic books come to life on stage! Captured Aural Phantasy Theater will be presenting live performances of classic "Tales from the Crypt" comic stories from the 50's to add a little retro thrill to your Halloween season. Dynasty Typewriter will transform into the Theater of Mystery, featuring live readings of spine-tingling comic book stories, projections, live music, a little magic and haunting songs from our ethereal chanteuse. The "Tales from the Crypt" title began as a delightfully demented and shocking comic book series in the early 1950's, inspiring generations of horror writers and filmmakers. Captured Aural Phantasy Theater is the only group in the world authorized to perform these, and sister titles like "Weird Science," live! Don't miss the only chance you'll get to see "Tales from the Crypt" on stage this Halloween season.

SUPEREGO: FORGOTTEN CLASSICS
Experience a bold interpretation of the great works of literature. So bold, in fact, nobody at Superego even bothered to read them. In this video vault classic, our players improvised a famous work of fiction, one with which they weren't at all familiar. They were given only the book's title, its first and last lines, and the names of its characters. The rest was up to them. This time out, Superego reimagined James Joyce's Ulysses!

Featuring: James Bladon, Jeremy Carter,  Matt Gourley,  Mark McConville, and Paul F. Tompkins.
