Dearest Dynasty Darlings,

Today marks the beginning of 🦂 SCORPIO SEASON 🦂!! This might fly under the radar for some of you, but Dynasty is led by Vanessa & Jamie aka 🦂 VANJAM 🦂 aka 🦂 DOUBLE SCORPIO 🦂 aka 🦂 DOUBLE FLARPIN' SCORPIO 🦂 aka 🦂 DUBSKORP 🦂 aka 🦂 BY NATURE OF OUR BIRTHDATES (11/2/1992? & 11/17/1998?) WE HAVE LESS TOLERANCE FOR DUMB SHIT 🦂! (And of course we're highly intuitive and intensely passionate lovers.) And yeah, sure, we may still deal with occasional people pleasing, but we're more highly aware than ever of when we're doing it and that's like a *very* significant part of the battle! In any case, the next 4 weeks is when our beautiful, highly effective but sometimes dormant scorpion stingers protrude from our butts on full display. So go ahead, we dare you to challenge us with a pointedly unkind email, a less than savory review, or an unnecessary heckle. Do and get ZAPPED, k? Because *newsflash*: our stingers are flarpin' ELECTRIC . (Without giving away too much, we are actually developing 🦂 DOUBLE SCORPIO 🦂 as a comic book/billion dollar movie franchise/short story collection/way of life and look forward to sharing more soon.)

In the meantime, you can catch us at some spooky Halloween themed shows and events at Dynasty in the next week where we'll be sure to reveal more of our shadow selves as we perform our ANNUAL DYNASTY SEANCE and host a COSTUME CONTEST at this Saturday's Dynasty BooNight! (It's our semi-regular Dynasty Tonight! show but we made it BooNight! because it's Halloween weekend. And, you know... boo. It's also a fun show to come to with your... boo. Do people still say boo in that context? Email us your take!) The show is followed by a FREE SCREENING of one of our favorite movies DEATH BECOMES HER and then on Sunday there will be ANOTHER FREE SCREENING of one of our favorite movies, BEETLEJUICE. And we're excited to divulge that we've gained rights to these movies through PROPER LEGAL CHANNELS. Costume contest that night too! What we're trying to say is, come spend your Halloween weekend with us and if you are kind there will be no issues.

Finally, a friend of Dynasty, NEAL BRENNAN, is doing two shows at a venue-friend of Dynasty, The Fonda Theater on November 11th and we've got a couple tickets to give away! Email us your favorite Halloween memory for a chance to win some tickets! And hell, we'll give away some tickets for Dynasty BooNight! and our screenings as well!

MONDAY, 7:30PM: Tales From The Crypt Theater of Mystery

Vintage spooky comic books come to life on stage! Captured Aural Phantasy Theater will be presenting live performances of classic "Tales from the Crypt" comic stories from the 50's to add a little retro thrill to your Halloween season. Dynasty Typewriter will transform into the Theater of Mystery, featuring live readings of spine-tingling comic book stories, projections, live music, a little magic and haunting songs from our ethereal chanteuse.

The "Tales from the Crypt" title began as a delightfully demented and shocking comic book series in the early 1950's, inspiring generations of horror writers and filmmakers. Captured Aural Phantasy Theater is the only group in the world authorized to perform these, and sister titles like "Weird Science," live! Don't miss the only chance you'll get to see "Tales from the Crypt" on stage this Halloween season.

The Yes, And… Laughter Lab Presents: FALL YALL! (a comedy show)

FALL YALL! is a comedy show featuring members of the Yes, And… Laughter Lab community of creatives.

The Yes, And… Laughter Lab (YALL) is a competitive incubation lab, pitch program and showcase that lifts up diverse writers and performers creating new comedy about topics that matter. YALL is designed to introduce these comedians to the entertainment industry, social justice organizations, philanthropists and activists who can help bring their work into the comedy marketplace – and into movements for social change. SABRINA WU is a Brooklyn based actor, writer, and stand-up comedian. They recently made their feature film debut in the Lionsgate comedy JOY RIDE, from executive producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg and director Adele Lim. Variety Magazine recently named Wu one of the 10 Comics to Watch for 2023.

Born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, they found their love for stand-up at 16 years old and began performing sets at their high school talent shows. In 2022, Just for Laughs Comedy Festival selected Wu as one of their New Faces of Comedy. In October that year, they went on to make their late-night stand -up debut on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Sabrina regularly performs at venues like Union Hall
and the Bell House in New York City, where they’ve been featured as part of the New York Comedy Festival.

Wu served as a staff writer on the Disney+ series Doogie Kameāloha M.D., and is currently a staff writer on an unannounced series for Netflix with Mike Schur executive producing. They recently sold
their pilot 20th Century Studios.

10:00PM: Therapy Gecko

After a sold out run of North American dates last year, multi-platform internet sensation LYLE FOREVER is bringing his beloved “Therapy Gecko” live show on the road again and around the world in 2023. Fans will get the chance to converse with Lyle live on stage as they share their hopes, dreams, and life lessons with the internet’s favorite gecko and unlicensed therapist. It will be an interactive, one-of-a-kind night as fans get the chance to journey with Lyle into the unknown. Welcome to The Geckoning World Tour.

Lyle Forever has taken the world by storm with his hit podcast, “Therapy Gecko.” Lyle’s unique perspective, empathetic ear, and green face paint has struck a chord with millions of fans around the world as he takes anonymous calls and talks through strangers’ sometimes wholesome, sometimes strange, problems and situations. In 2022, Lyle began inviting celebrity guests on the show and has had some of the biggest up and coming stars on his program, including Denzel Curry, Benny Blanco, Yung Gravy, Logic, Lil Yachty and more. Now, Lyle is excited to announce “The Geckoning World Tour” for 2023.

Dan Black hosts an all-star lineup of improvisers to perform the best and funniest improv show of all time! The show will be based off impromptu stories told by our guest monologist who will get a suggestion from the audience to inspire their monologue.

JONAH RAY and HAMPTON YOUNT (Mystery Science Theater 3000) present “Destroy All Movies!” a night of movie riffing. This scary pumpkin spice season they bring the cinema classic “Night of The Living Dead” to life and then summarily destroy it.

Streaming In The Video Vault

SUPEREGO: FORGOTTEN CLASSICS
Experience a bold interpretation of the great works of literature. So bold, in fact, nobody at Superego even bothered to read them. In this video vault classic, our players improvised a famous work of fiction, one with which they weren't at all familiar. They were given only the book's title, its first and last lines, and the names of its characters. The rest was up to them. This time out, Superego reimagined James Joyce's Ulysses!
