How was your Labor Day weekend? Full of splishin’ and delish’in? The DynaDarlings were treated to a good ol’ fashioned pool party at MAMA & PAPA FLAM’s in GRANADA HILLS (once called The Enchanted Hills, true story!) and it was every bit the chlorine dream that memories are made of. Music! Puzzy! H-O-R-S-E! Epic and intense pool fight where brother turned on brother and adults attacked children the way God Herself intended!
And then just like that, August went out with a bang of sunshine. The rays of light from last week over here  included: Up & Up’s return after a month off, Lisa Loeb in concert, Major Entertainer and Neil Hamburger burgerin’ it up! Speaking of burgerin’ it up, juggler extraordinaire Michael Rayner burgered it up with FLARE using a parasol and a quarter pounder during a packed Dynasty Tonight that had it all. Afterwards we made way for another SOLD OUT Everything’s Great, this time with 1000% more scooters. That's an inside joke, to encourage you to get tickets early for the next one, cuz there's gonna be more where that came from!*

And now, it’s September! TONIGHT, it’s got brains, beauty and raps, it's The Crossword Show! Host and creator ZACH SHERWIN has cooked up a ding-dang delightful puzzle, and now it’s up to RHEA BUTCHER, RACHEL BLOOM, and BARON VAUGHN to solve the dang thang. If you haven’t seen this show, please do now. It will make you a better person, and that’s not JUST hyperbole. THURSDAY if he doesn’t make it weird we sure as hell will, it’s PETE HOLMES! Pete will be a headlining and bringing his hour to the theater, and we can’t flarpin’ wait to see it! To make it even more exciting, the amazing MOSHE KASHER will be opening for him. As Nammy Dynasty always said, "When the wrapping paper is as beautiful as the gift inside, you know you’ve been truly blessed.” Nammy also used to say "Tic-Tacs are literally the teeth of the devil!" Ha!
FRIDAY’s got two real sweet cheeks. With JOE MANDE’s King Of Content Tour at 8pm (almost sold out! Hurry to gain audience with the King!) and at 10pm, that peach of a show, BUTT. Butt is JOE MCADAM and CHRIS STEPHEN’s bizarre and jjjjjuicy sketch show. If you haven't seen it, well, you sure as shit oughta.
SATURDAY is GO DAY, our **FREE** monthly dose of enchantertainment, where JAMIE and VANESSA share lessons they’re continuously learning at the theater along with Lindt anecdotes, and invite some of their favorite creators, artists and entrepreneurs to share inspiration and insights! This Saturday we've got the return of BRENT FORRESTER, plus many surprises! ATTEND! SATURDAY night we’re so excited to host one of our very favorite comics, the amazing JACKIE KASHIAN and she’s bringing a helluva lineup with her, JANELLE JAMES, LAURIE KILMARTIN, VIRGINIA JONES, KIRA SOLTANAVICH and WYNTER SPEARS. We can’t wait, but we have to! So we will! Until it’s showtime, and then we will finally relax and be able to live in the present. SUNDAY, you know her, you love her, you wish her grandma was your grandma, it’s Let’s Go Atsuko! Saturday we had the joy of another GO DAY! We got to hang out with our community, brag about our new WIRELESS MICS , get inspired by Brent Forrester, get a peek inside Atsuko Okatsuka’s creative process (it’s IMPERATIVE to muse aloud about make out sessions with your local pomeranian) and she taught us some hot choreo! Jamie and Vanessa CAME TO LIFE to the sound of Lizzo’s Juice, and we declared once again, that we are BORN TO DANCE. Jamie Flam described it as “electric." Now to teach our bodies to live up to our purpose. We’ll keep you posted. Then Saturday night, we had Jackie Kashian’s edition of Dynasty Tonight with a killer lineup. Jackie’s long set was amazing (of course! She’s really one of our favs), the audience was maybe the best ever (sorry other audiences! This one was just so responsive, so present, so… so dang clappy!) and we had a drop in from ZACH GALIFIANAKIS! 
He set was a treat, and we were even more excited than last time he was here (we were very excited then too) because now we’ve seen and loved all of Baskets. He plays twins in that show, so his star power has DOUBLED! Last night we writhed to the epic musical genius of SNL's Beck Bennett and Gabe Noel. They’ve been working on their music in private for the last 15 years and WHAT AN UNVEILING it was. Lights! Fog! Drones! And a tiiiiiiny little guitar. Someone described that as "electric."
SHOWS! Last week we had em! Highlights include; The Crossword Show! ZACH SHERWIN’s brain baby is growing up REAL nice. The Crossword Show with special guest MAYIM BIALIK (Blossom has blossomed into a PHD wielding, Big Bang star who is GOOD at crosswords!) and panelists IRENE TU (specialty: three letter words) and CHRIS GARCIA (speciality: potty talk) was th
e most fun, most impressive, most grin-filled show. If you missed it, do yourself a favor and don’t let THAT happen again. 
taping a few coffee cakes under peoples chairs to surprise them! (WHO WANTS.... COFFEE CAKE?!?) Here’s to many more Oprah moments! May the ones in the future come with more money, cocker spaniels, and real estate in wine country. Thursday and Friday we welcomed in the Wine & Crime podcast and… if there’s one thing those true-crime heads love more than a gruesome story of murder and mayhem it’s... guzzling wine. They officially win for most raucous (but still lovely) crowd, which we honestly didn’t see coming! Gotta love a sleeper hit. Wino Crimos, we salute your gusto, but we do not envy the hangovers you must’ve had. 
Saturday we had another beach blanket DYNGO Dynasty Tonight! The DYNGO winners walked home with some TRUUUULY fabulous prizes (The Sopranos Season 5 DVD Set, leftover COFFEE CAKE, cancelled Comedy Central show tumblers, and a grand prize courtesy of Monsieur Lindt) but not before winners were subject to the insult wrath of our new smash hit character, THE DYNGO DINGO! (Jamie bailed on the insults when a Martial Arts guy won.) The show was terrific and the AC was brrr-iffic. 
Dynasty was a HOUSE OF ICONS! On Friday we were graced by Grace herself, JANE FONDA in a special event put on by one of our favorite non-profits (and neighbors!) GET LIT. Our buddy SAM CURTIS interviewed JANE about her career and her artistic approach. She is as amazing, intelligent, driven, and yes as you’d hope. And on Saturday we hosted producer/showrunner/writer/super nice guy, BRUCE FERBER’s book release for his new book about the ins and outs of Hollywood, The Way We Work, and he brought with him a slew of incredibly talented folks, including JASON ALEXANDER. Hewas ALSO all the good things! 
On Sunday we went on our first full staff excursion and it was a dang delight ! We went to another venue that knows a thing or two about fog use, enchantment, and utensil-free dining. Yes, we stormed MEDIEVAL TIMES! We slurped soup, waved flags, and cheered for our knight (red and yellow for life)! It was a true Dyna-fam fun day, and got us even more excited than usual about our mission to enjoy the joy and absurdity of life. We came back with bellies full of ol' timey grub, our minds full of new Dynnovations, and each of us with a souvenir picture (Jamie insisted we upgrade to the Queen’s Royalty package 🤷♀️ ) that we’ll treasure forever. 
First and foremost, LA Magazine put out their annual "Best of LA" edition, and Dynasty Typewriter was deemed "Best Comedy Club For Celeb Drop-ins." If we were writing the category ourselves, we might have pitched “Best Popcorn Restaurant featuring Live Entertainment," but we'll take the accolade! We’ve truly been so amazed at the caliber of talent we’ve gotten to host here in our first year and a half, and we're excited that the press is taking note. 
attended, you know. If you missed em: TAYLOR TOMLINSON’s hour was “electric!” - Jamie Flam. A full house and so much energy, and wow wow wow, Taylor?! More like SLAYlor (Taylor, you’re free to use this! We’re feeling so generous!) BRENDAN SCANNELL PROMISED this would be cute… and it was! Brendan’s show was amazing- from stand-up to sketch to story-telling to headset mic-wearing musical numbers, he can do it ALL and he did it damnnnn cute, honey. Go see and support everything he does, m'kay? 
Saturday we had a Dynasty Tonight, Beach Blanket Dyngo-style! Our staff wore beachy attire (spoiler alert, they were even cuter than usual! SAMEE has knees! MIKE was born to wear a bold Hawaiian print! TONY in a straw hat is a good… nay, great thing! KATIE’s mellow vibes were born to sport Quicksilver!) and JAMIE and VANESSA kicked the night off with DYNGO (reminding us that bingo is the most fun game ever, and spinning the ball cage is feels fun, glamorous, and just close enough to playing god!) a few lucky audience members won AMAZING PRIZES including…. LINDT chocolate bars. In other news, Dynasty Typewriter is now an official Lindt Venue™. Visit our concession stand and buy your ticket to chocolate paradise. On a date? Seal the deal* with a Lindt™.
